“When present time and place fade, when work goes, when rules no longer matter, when social obligations have lost meaning, a basic humanity shines through.” - Naomi Feil, The Validation Breakthrough (Health Professions Press, Inc., 2002)
Garden Square of Greeley has created a memory care neighborhood where elders can succeed and achieve; where they are encouraged to maintain their highest level of independence; and where they may find a sense of belonging, companionship, and self-esteem.
We feature a memory care neighborhood with our own unique training and programming. Our training and philosophies are based on The Eden Alternative, Validation: The Feil Method, and recreating the circle of life for elders with dementia. This allows our elders an opportunity to give care back to children, animals, and plants in an environment that is non-judgmental and accepting.
Ridgeline Management Company, in collaboration with The Validation Institute and Naomi Feil, has formed Pacific Coast Validation, the first west-coast Authorized Validation Organization. Through this organization, Garden Square of Greeley is afforded more validation training opportunities helping us learn and grow in our care-giving capabilities. For more information on Pacific Coast Validation, visit us at www.pcvalidation.com.
We understand Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias present many challenges for family members. Our staff is available for consultation. Families and friends are invited to our monthly Memory Care Café, a support group. Educational resources are available to support family member relationships with loved ones.
Garden Square of Greeley supports an open forum environment for elders and their family members to voice concerns, praise, and offer suggestions to the programs and services at Garden Square of Greeley. Those with memory loss flourish in an environment where they feel involved with the support of their family and friends.
